A spring pop culture healing mood board in honor of this month’s upcoming Tarot Salon and the blessed beginning of Taurus season. May we all find rest, clarity, and new ways of feeling into our joy and our wholeness in the weeks ahead. ✨🪬✨

Healing has been a huge focus of mine since starting Pop Culture Healing six years ago, and tarot has been an integral part of my healing journey. It’s a tool that has helped me release triggers and traumatic childhood wounds, work through my attachment issues, and move through shadow work to reclaim once-rejected parts of myself. I once thought that I’d finally reach some summit and be fully healed, but it’s actually been a pleasure to discover that healing is ongoing and evolving. The work feels less heavy now, but it’s still a natural part of my commitment to growth, authenticity, liberation, and abundance.

Not everyone uses tarot for inner work, but I can’t imagine where I’d be without it, and I’m eager to hear from the collective about how tarot has helped them heal. On Friday, we’ll discuss the ways that healing and tarot can helpfully intersect and practice with a couple of spreads that can be used to shine a light on what needs tending within. Whether you’re just beginning your healing journey or deep in the work, you’re most welcome to come and be a part of this month’s lovely event.

Back from a once in a lifetime month in India. I was often overwhelmed by the heat, the noise, and the crowds. Some poor dining choices at the Delhi airport led me to become sick and then even sicker. They nearly pulled me off the plane on the way home because I was so feverish. 😷

India isn’t for the faint of heart, but it was an incredible adventure and I count myself lucky to have been able to lean into the fullness of this experience— a distinctly spiritual one that I never would have been able to access were it not for the guidance of my teachers from @bhaktiyogaschool. I learned so much about Bhakti, Hinduism, and Krishna Consciousness, swam in sacred rivers, meditated in caves, visited gorgeous temples, did kirtan and chanted the holy names absolutely everywhere… In every city I was welcomed and blessed and humbled and touched by grace.

Now that I’m home and starting a fresh chapter, I’m left feeling profoundly grateful for the unique life I’ve been gifted and person I get to be. Radhe Radhe. ❤️🙏

At some point last year I began to associate this particular piece of Rumi wisdom with the seven of pentacles. I used to take this card as an invitation to wait and see, but it showed up a lot in response to relationship questions, and over time it became clear that waiting and hoping was no longer the right answer—waiting for when I could prove that I was enough, waiting for the day they’d finally see all of my goodness and choose me, waiting to be prioritized in return.

In the Thoth deck, the seven of pentacles is actually failure. I conceded failure on more than one occasion in 2025, and every time I did so I felt like I was affirming to myself that I was moving toward that stronger pull and turning toward the garden. *Reciprocity* became the thing I was seeking above everything else. What would it even feel like to know a love that was reciprocated?

“No more advice,” but bless the reader who months ago told me that I was no longer in a position to compromise. And bless all the empty garlics no longer in my life for helping me wake up and love myself more deeply, surely, and completely.

I usually don’t miss a recap opportunity, but 2025 landed too heavy and is feeling a little too raw to reflect on yet. I’m still integrating all the heartbreaks, losses, and endings, but I continue to experience the evolving truth of my sankalpa, “I am healed and divinely loved.”

All that to say, I’m definitely in a winter retreat stage and therefore have been less present in public lately and will continue to be rather absent in Humboldt until Spring.

Thanks to everyone who’s been a friend and a support to me the last couple of months—so many of you. If 2025 taught me anything (it actually taught me everything), it’s the real value of friendship. ❤️

I’m headed abroad later this month and won’t be returning to Humboldt until early April. I’ll be spending time with my yoga family @bhaktiyogaschool at their ashram in Cali, Colombia and then heading on to India for a spiritual pilgrimage. I look forward to resuming all of my in person offerings when I return.

Tarot Salon will keep running in my absence! The wonderful Carolyn Ayres @tarotofbecoming will be hosting and I’ll continue to promote behind the scenes, so stay tuned for more info.
