Community Kirtan

Community Kirtan is an in-person gathering on the second Sunday of each month at The Eagle House Hotel led by Yamuna Devi Dasi (Geneva Elise). This event is located upstairs in the beautiful yoga studio across from the Bayview Dining Room.

What is Community Kirtan? Kirtan is a call-and-response style of singing from the Bhakti yoga tradition—anyone can join in, whether it’s your first time or you’ve done it many times before. It’s a time for people to come together, sing simple sacred chants, hear stories about the deities we chant to, and connect with each other in a warm, welcoming space. Each gathering begins with a short meditation, includes chanting in Sanskrit, and ends with prasad—a small, blessed offering of food to share the energy and joy of the Kirtan. Good voice, bad voice, no voice-- it doesn't matter! This event centers participation, community, and connection.
